He played in the AHL during the lockout and joined the St. Louis Blues in 2013 for a one year deal worth $800,000. He was traded to the Boston Bruins in 2013 and officially retired in 2014. Redden played in the NHL All-Star Game in 2002 and was named in 2004 but could not play. He won the Victoria Cup with the Rangers in 2008 and was the NHL Plus/Minus Award winner in 2006. Redden represented Canada in international competition and won Gold medals at the 2004 World Cup of Hockey and 1995 and 1996 World Junior Championships.
