The group was initially quite successful, but problems began around 2007, when it became clear that Jones was keeping the majority of the revenue from Max B’s songs and performances for himself. In 2008, Max B signed with Amalgam Records and released his first solo album, “Vigilante Season” in 2011. In 2009, he was charged with conspiracy to commit murder and robbery, and was sentenced to 75 years in prison. He is currently serving his sentence.
