Cimarro went on to star in the movies The Cuban Connection, Managua, Rockaway, Puras Joyitas, The Black Russian, and Mediterranean Blue. He has also appeared in the television shows Sentimientos Ajenos, Gente Bien, La Mujer de mi vida, La Usurpadora, La Casa en la Playa, Amor Latino, Mas que amor frenesi, Gata Salvaje, Pasion de Gavilanes, El Cuerpo del Deseo, La Traicion, Mar de Amor, Los Herederos Del Monte, Necessary Roughness, and El perdedor. Cimarro also released the album Tu deseo in 2008. He has served as a judge at the Miss Universe 2005 pageant and the Festival Internacional de la Cancion de Vina del Mar in 2012. Mario executive produced and will star in the upcoming film The Zwickys.
