She starred in the Fuji TV series Someone is next to you but continued her adult career. It was reported in 2003 that Takagi was the highest paid adult actress in Japan. The same year she won five awards at the Adult Video Grand Prix Awards. Her last adult video was released in 2004. After retiring from adult videos she starred in the film Ghost Shout. She appeared in the horror films Noroi and Tokyo Zombie. She part of the Japanese Ju-on horror film series which is known as The Grudge in English.
