Herberto founded the firm back in 1976, while in 1987, he listed it on the Spanish stock market. Since then, Prosegur has spread across Europe, Latin America, and Asia. Their two children are also involved in the family business, her son, Christian Gut, acting as its CEO and her daughter, Chantal Gut, holding a seat on the company’s board. In addition to Prosegur, Helena invests her money in causes dear to her heart like supporting the Prosegur Foundation; a charity fund dedicated on education and social integration for people with disabilities that operates in 30 schools in impoverished regions of seven Latin America countries.
