It was eventually revealed that the pair met when Luel-Brockdorff was filming the renovation of her family’s castle, Valdemars Castle, which was documented on a reality TV program. Bendtner was invited over as a guest and the two even did a photo shoot together. A few months later, he announced he was about to become a father, and the baroness gave birth to their son in late 2010. She previously had two children, Alexander and Josephine, from her first marriage to Rory Fleming. Luel-Brockdorff and Bendtner became engaged, but later decided to split shortly after the birth of their son.
